This Is Not The Onion of the Day: Watching this clip from a Fox News interview with a kid who claims “Heaven is for real” because he visited it (and met with God and “Pop”) while he was undergoing surgery, I couldn’t help but be reminded of the scene in The Invention of Lying, where Ricky Gervais’s character is implored by the people gathered outside his house to tell them all about the “Man In The Sky.”
News reporter: “So many people want to know what you now know.” Aaaaand scene.

Everything about this is complete nonsense. I can’t believe they are getting airtime for something so obviously made up. Oh wait, it’s Fox News. Figures

As an ardent Jonathan Swift fan, everything about this trailer offends me. Including the gratuitous iphone product placement.
Still, even though the connection is somewhat tenuous to the original, at least it has more in common with its source than irobot.
But the big question- Why?
